GOCAF's monthly revenue for 2025-2026 may fluctuate due to changes in the economy. We faces challenges due to the weather, which can slow if not stop our progress.
The programs offered by GOCAF include:
1. Work Experience (WE): This program allows youth to gain valuable work experience by working 15 to 20 hours a week at community-based organizations and private sector businesses. The businesses provide work skills training, and GOCAF pays the youth's salary.
2. Job Shadowing (JS): This program enables youth to explore their interests in specific occupations. Businesses allow youth to spend a few hours each week learning about a particular occupation to determine if it aligns with their career goals.
3. Post-Secondary Education (PSE): This program supports youth in college preparation, occupational skills training, and vocational schools. Youth work closely with GOCAF to learn about various pathways to post-secondary education. GOCAF covers the cost of application fees for admission and preparation, with the goal of offsetting this cost through future donations.
4. Career Readiness Training (CRT): This program guides youth through aptitude and attitude assessments related to employment. Participants receive instruction on proper interviewing skills, reading and math remediation, grammar, communication skills, resume preparation, social skills enhancement, and office and telephone etiquette. Youth who complete this training are placed in a referral bank for local businesses.
5. H&R Block Tax Service (HR): GOCAF would like to partner with H&R Block to teach youth effective tax preparation for community residents. Youth earn an biweekly by preparing taxes, and a portion of their earnings is donated to GOCAF.
6. Hazmat / Osha cert (HO): Environmental Protection awareness GOCAF near future course with donations and sponsorship.
